Dolores “Dolly” F. Romansik Palmer, of Erie passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 10, 2022, at LECOM Senior Living Center. She was born in Erie, on May 18, 1930, a daughter of the late John and Frances V. Radzimski Romansik. Dolores worked many years as the main credit manager at Mason’s Dept. Store and she finished her working career at Rite Aid at 83 years old. Dolores was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved being with her family. She loved her independence of living by herself for 7 years at Cider Mill Apartments. Everyone who knew her at Cider Mill Apartments loved her vibrancy and spirit. Dolores loved playing her weekly BINGO games with all her lady friends. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Leon Palmer; her brothers John and Ricky Romansik; her beloved son-in-law, Brian Fish; and very close friend, Jim Wheeler. Survived by her son, Glenn A. Kowalski (Lu Ann); her daughter, Gale R. Fish; her grandchildren, Jim B. Rial (Jen), Julie M. Gaston, Michael Henry Kowalski (Brianna); great-grandchildren, Brady and Josh Gaston, Maddie and Lexi Rial, Anora and Rys Kowalski; her dear aunt Margie Langdon, along with many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all the wonderful nursing staff from both the VNA hospice and LECOM Nursing Center, especially John from LECOM and Laura from hospice for the wonderful care you provided to Dolores. One more very special thank you goes to Dr. Edward Janus for the years of care you provided to Dolores; she/we loved you like family.
