Dollie Mae (Watts) Haddock, 88, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022, in Liberal, Kansas. She was born on December 4, 1933, to Alva Jacob and Ada Rosella (Maloney) Watts in Woodson County, Kansas. Dollie went to Stone country school through the 8th grade and then attended high school in Toronto, Kansas where she graduated in 1951. Dollie enjoyed playing softball and basketball while in school. After graduation she worked and attended business school in Wichita, Kansas where she met James Haddock. Jim and Dollie were united in marriage on July 11, 1954. They raised their 4 children in Hooker, Oklahoma. Jim and Dollie were members of the First Southern Baptist Church in Liberal and were devout Christians. Dollie held offices in Baptist Women, WMU, and was a past president of Sweet Adeline’s and Business Women. She also taught Sunday School for many years, sang in the choir, and served on several church committees. She is survived by her brother Alva “Pete”, Yates Center, Kansas, sister Florence “Babe” Parrish, Wichita, Kansas, her children Sandra (Mike) Watson, Peck, Kansas; Steve Haddock, Liberal, Kansas; Kevin (Ruby) Haddock, Logoff, South Carolina; and Debra (Dan) Busetti, Clearwater Kansas, 11 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. Dollie was preceded in death by her husband James Haddock, her parents Alva and Ada Watts, her sister Violet Hyde, and her brothers Frank Watts, Bernard Watts and Bill Maloney. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Quincy Cemetery in Greenwood County, Kansas. Rev. Craig Atherton presiding.
