View Tribute Book Dillard Alonzo Williams was born November 21, 1937 to Lonnie and Maidie Williams in Benton, Arkansas. He graduated from Benton High School in 1954. He passed away on December 23, 2022 after a lengthy illness. In 1957 he married Cleamer Butler in Malvern, Arkansas. They were married for 65 years before Cleamer passed away in 2020. In 1959, Alonzo moved to Cedar Hill, TX, with Cleamer and their first child, Meloene. Alonzo went to work for Central Freightlines where he was employed for 43 years. After Cleamer’s death, Alonzo then moved to Downsville, Louisiana where he lived with his daughter, Meloene. In his spare time, he enjoyed working with his hands, especially wood working. Often, he would pick up discarded chairs and such, take them home and refurbish them. He would then find a needy family to give them to. Alonzo was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God in Duncanville. He was a faithful member who was very active in various areas of ministry. Since moving to Louisiana, he faithfully attended Living Water Full Gospel Church in Dubach, Louisiana. Alonzo was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Maidie Williams, his wife Cleamer Williams and his son Alan Dale Williams. He is survived by his daughter Meloene Anglin and husband Walter Anglin of Downsville, LA, his grandchildren Michael Anglin and wife Kristyn Dobbins Anglin of Minden, LA and Mary Moses and husband John Moses of Downsville, LA, six great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Alonzo’s funeral will be at Crossroads Assembly of God in Duncanville Friday, December 30, 2022 at 12:30pm. Interment will follow at Little Bethel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held 6 – 8 pm on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel. Pallbearers are Walter Anglin, Michael Anglin, John Moses, Earl Kimmerly Jr, Warren Kimmerly and Rod Morton. Honorary pall bearers are Wayne Langston, Gene Brooks, Charles Ford, Justin Jones, John Michael Moses and Hayden Dobbins.
