With hearts full of gratefulness to our Lord Jesus Christ, we proclaim Denis Straughn went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 27th 2022. Denis was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Straughn Sr., his father, Donald Straughn Sr., and his mother, Yvonne Straughn. Survivors include his loving wife Helen Straughn of 48 years; children, Lana Meschino (Paul Meschino), Ronnie Webber (Carolyn Castro),& Yvonne Straughn (Nicholas Tinker); grandchildren, Michael Morgan (Angel Morgan), Ethan Webber, Aubrey Webber, John Meschino, Samuel Conkle, Jacob Straughn, Leighton Conkle, Nathan Meschino, Jazmine Tinker, Heather Whitehead, Savannah Goff; great-grandchildren, Faith Morgan, Grace Morgan, Serenity Morgan, Kaydence Hutchins, Gracelynn Goff, Jaxson Goff. Denis was a loving husband, dedicated father to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Denis had a loving sprit, endless bravery, was a problem solver, spiritual man involved in many church activities. In his spare time, he worked on his endless “Honey do…” list, as well as taking up all daunting and unwanted tasks around the house. He loved to go hunting, fishing and loved sharing the experience with his grandchildren. He dedicated his whole life to his family. He will forever be missed and will always live with us in our hearts. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 29th at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, November 28th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
