Dena Lynn Barnett passed away peacefully on Friday December 16th at Texoma Medical Center after a brief illness surrounded by her family and loved ones. Dena was born in Marks, Mississippi on October 17th, 1962, to Esther and Ellis Dean Cunningham. Dena started out being the first daughter and then a big sister to all her siblings. She was an amazing Mother, Memaw and Wife. She especially loved the time she could spend with her grandsons. Dena found the love of her life, Leon and took care of him until his passing last year. She was an amazing cook and loved planning family get-togethers. She was never shy to share hugs and kisses. Dena was full of energy and was the life of every party. Dena is survived by: Mother- Esther Annette Lytle Sons- William Scott Thomas, Ellis Pham and wife Jennifer. Daughter- Lisa Thi Pham Grandsons- Jordan Alan Greenway and wife Jenna, Ellis Van Pham II and Brandon Lee Pham Siblings- Jimmy Dean Cunningham and wife Darlene, Rex Harold Cunningham and wife Teresa, Alicia Annette Cunningham and husband Frank, Elizabeth Ann Brickwood and husband Kyle. Along with many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and distant relatives She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Barnett, father Ellis Dean Cunningham and Stepfather Harold Rex Lytle. Dena attended Church of God-A Worldwide Association in Sherman, Tx. Visitation will be held at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison, Tx. on Tuesday, December 20th from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Funeral Service will be at the same location on Wednesday, December 21st at 10:00am with Mr. Clyde Kilough officiating. Burial will be held afterwards at Lightning Ridge Cemetary in Roff, Oklahoma. The family would like to thank the Medical Staff at TMC and the church family of COGWA for all the care, love, support and food throughout this difficult time.
