Obituary Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends. View Tribute Book David Cecil Hensley, age 84, of Oak Ridge, passed away November 11, 2022. Dave was born on April 1, 1938, in Winslow, Arizona. He received his BS degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson and his PhD in physics from the California Institute of Technology. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Berlin, West Germany. Dave worked as a physicist at ORNL for many years. Well into his 70’s, Dave refereed and played soccer. He is held dearly in his family’s hearts and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by parents, Janet & Winfred Hensley, and brother, Gerald Hensley. Survivors include wife, Ann Hensley; sister, Margie Christiansen & husband, Eric; sons, Joel Hensley & wife, Betsy, Adam Hensley & wife Lynn, and Sam Hensley; and five grandchildren: Ethan & Maya Hensley, Ali Nisley, and Adalyn & Adasyn Hensley.
