Obituary Danny Franklin Jenkins, 77, of Ironton, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. Mr. Jenkins was born August 1, 1945 in Ironton, Ohio, a son to the late Ansel and Mabel (Collins) Jenkins. Danny was a 1964 graduate of Rock Hill High School and worked for Superior Trim doing upholstery. Danny loved to hunt, fish, going to flea markets and was a member of Rock Mountain Elk Foundation. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Nellie McDowell, Doris Faulkner, brothers Jackie Owens, Bobby Lee Owens, Thurman Owens, Donald Jenkins, David and Ronald Jenkins. He is survived by his daughter, Tonja Unrue of Ironton, grandson, Michael Unrue, four siblings Cora Jenkins, Shelia Massie, Dorothy (Virgil) Waugh and Jimmie Jenkins. Two sisters-in-law Marie Jenkins and Maryann Jenkins, brother-in-law Bill Faulkner, grandson Michael Unrue and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, friends and other family members that will miss him. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 10:00 A.M., at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South 7th Street, Ironton, Ohio with Brother Tim Maddy officiating.
