Funeral services for CONRAD FRITZLER JR, 96, will be held at 10am Friday, December 9, 2022 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Flom officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Conrad died November 30, 2022 at Torrington Community Hospital. Memorials may be given to the Riverside Church of Christ or the Meadowdale Christian Ranch Scholarship Fund. The casket will be closed. Arrangements are by the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to Conrad was born November 10, 1926 in Windsor, Colorado the son of Conrad and Katherine (Dumler) Fritzler. He grew up in many areas of Colorado. He joined the US Army and served in Japan and Korea where he was awarded the Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, the Korean Service Medal with five Bronze Service Stars, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, and the Distinguished Unit Citation. He was discharged from the army as a Staff Sergeant. He returned to Colorado where he married Edna Kechter on April 4, 1953 in Ft. Collins, Colorado. They moved to Canada to farm wheat for two years before returning to Ft. Collins. They moved to Laramie, Wyoming where he worked as the maintenance foreman for Married Student Housing at the University of Wyoming. After he retired, they moved to Torrington, Wyoming in 2012. Conrad enjoyed gardening and collecting toys. Conrad is survived by two sons Rex (Paula) Fritzler of Glendo, Wyoming and Colin (Kimberly) Fritzler of Veteran, Wyoming; two daughters Julianne (George) McGinnis and Connie (Mike) Wibbens all of Laramie, Wyoming; a sister-in-law Eilene Fritzler of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; grandchildren Rex Peter Fritzler, Eugene Fritzler, Katharina Fritzler, Samuel Fritzler, William Tell Fritzler, J.B. Schwaderer, Jacqueline Roesener, Michael E. McGinnis, Beau Wibbens, and April Wibbens; great grandchildren Ayden Fritzler, Jaxon Fritzler, Bret Schwaderer, Ty Schwaderer, Aiyannah Wibbens, Rhylan Wibbens and Meigi McGinnis; a special friend Haley Carter of Torrington; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Edna; son Sterling Fritzler; four brothers; and two sisters.
