Foster and Barbara L. Foster, in Hampton, VA. Connie answered the masters call on December 3, 2022, in Newport News, VA. Connie was preceded in death by her father, Howard Foster Sr., her sister, Shirley Northcutt and her brothers, Ronald Foster and Larry Foster. Connie attended Hampton Public Schools and spent most of her adult years, as a Child Care Provider. Connie provide Daycare and Before/After School services to many children in the Hampton/Newport News area. Many of those children, now adults, often stopped by with their own children to see “Ms. Connie”. Connie had a vibrant personality, and loved being in the presence of her family. Always the “life of the party” at cookouts, family game nights, birthday dinners and those annual family vacations to the Outer Banks. To know her, was to love her! She was always to source of a good laugh, but many knew Connie as a great listener and confidant, always offering words of wisdom and encouragement. Her gift was that she always understood those, that often felt misunderstood. Connie was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she served on the Pastors Aide Committee and along side her mother, Barbara Foster, as a part of the Kitchen Staff/Ministry for Fellowshipping events. She loved her church family and considered Dr. Beverly Ashburn her Pastor, her sister and her friend. Those left to cherish her life and legacy are her mother, Barbara Foster, son Kebvin Foster (Kimberly), daughters Tawania Foster and Chaniequa Foster. Seven grandchildren Sammie II, Tia, Richard III, Shallah, Kebvin Jr, Ashanti and Kennedy. Three great-grandchildren Ava, Shiloh and Sammie III. Two sisters, Donna Perry and Sherry Watson. Six brothers, Howard Foster Jr. (Diane), Kelvin Foster, Kim Foster, Barry Foster, Dale Foster (Trina) and Eric Foster (Tiffany). Her very special nieces TeKayla Garrett and Santiana Garrett. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of extended family and lifelong friends. A viewing will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 4 pm -7 pm. Home Going services will be held on December 13, 2022 at 11:00 at Friendship Baptist Church, 1135 37th Street, Newport News, VA 23607.
