Cody was born in the early morning of November 23, 2022 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, and passed away in the NICU at St. Francis Children’s Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the evening of the same day. Cody is survived by his parents, Jayce and Shanena Howenstine; a twin brother, Wyatt Wayne Howenstine still in the NICU at St. Francis Hospital; his paternal grandmother, Janice Howenstine; uncle, Darren Howenstine, and great uncle Jeff Clemons; his maternal grandfather, Lonnie LaCore (Tammy Cleffman); maternal grandmother, Sheila Shelley LaCore; uncle, Dalton LaCore; maternal great uncle and great aunt, Earl Smith and Jane Shelley Smith; first cousins, Greyson LaCore and Donovan Howenstine-Borsch and several other family members. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2022 at Highland Cemetery, Lawton, Oklahoma, with Rev. Kerry Malakosky officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Heights Chapel, 706 NW 17th Street, Lawton, Oklahoma 73507.
