Christine Diane Case, age 62, of Early, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 in Abilene. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30PM on Saturday, December 3 at Heartland Funeral Home. A memorial service for Christine will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, December 4 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Christine was born to Lorena (Dee) and Charles Case on August 26, 1960 in Waterloo, New York. After graduating from high school, she attended Howard Payne University where she graduated with Bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education and Religious Education in 1984. Christine was a teacher at Brownwood ISD for 15 years, and then 16 years at Blanket ISD. She retired in 2013. Christine was a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association. She was a fisherwoman, animal lover, and she loved children and they loved her back. Christine attended Southside Church in Brownwood. Christine is survived by her sister, Theresa Diane Case; her nephews, Guy Case and wife Ruth, and Kevin Case and wife Pam; and her very special friend, Martha Hicks and her family. She is also survived by many extended family members and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Corrine T. Smith Animal Shelter in Brownwood.
