View Tribute Book Memorial graveside services for Charles Lex Dyer, 80 of Cookeville, will be Saturday, November 26 at 11 AM at Cookeville City Cemetery. Bro. Josh Sherman will officiate. There will be no visitation at the funeral home, everyone will gather at the cemetery. Mr. Dyer died Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at his home. He was born January 6, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph Franklin Dyer, Sr. and Nell Gentry Dyer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife, Dianne Goolsby Dyer, daughter and son-in-law Lori and Nathan Walker, sister and brother-in-law Judy and John West, brother Joe Dyer, Jr. He was a graduate of Putnam County High School and a Army veteran. Charles was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, he retired from Dacco of Cookeville. He really enjoyed the Christmas season, spending time with family and friends. Survivors include wife Emogene Gibson Dyer of Cookeville, sons Christopher (Faye) Dyer of Lakeland, FL. Eric Dyer of Cookeville, step-daughter Melissa (Eddie) Glover of Cookeville, step-son Glen (Belinda) Lewis of Baxter, brothers Gary (Sharon) Dyer, Bill (Pam) Dyer all of Cookeville, grandchildren: Joyce Dyer, Alexander Dyer, Nora Dyer, Barrett Walker, Alayna Walker, Brelynn Dyer, step-grandchildren: Jacqueline (Jonathan) Williams, Kimberly Glover, Hannah Glover, Emily Glover, Chris Lewis and David Lewis.
