Chad was born on February 27, 1972 to Bill and Claire (Hoover) Jividen in Grand Island, Nebraska. He grew up in Grand Island, Chapman and Central City. At the early age of 4, Chad understood the need of Jesus in his heart and knelt with his mom by the bed to accept the gift of salvation. A tender heart of service would follow as Chad loved working on the bus route and in the children’s ministry. In 1990 Chad graduated from Nebraska Christian High School. It was in the fall of 1992 that Chad and Ronda’s paths crossed, while both helping in the 3rd grade Awana class. The time spent serving together through the following spring led to their first date in April of 1993. Chad and Ronda were married in August of 1994 and began their simple life together. Providing for his family was always a priority. Chad managed an oil changing shop in Grand Island which inspired him to create his own shop in Central City. Being able to serve and interact with the community personally, was where his heart was displayed the best. His love for people and community continued as he worked at Herks Welding, Covenant Doors and ending at Strobel Manufacturing. He was truly at his best at the end, with those he served and interacted with. It was always a desire of Chad and Ronda to have a large family. The waiting was over in January of 1998 when they became foster parents and welcomed many foster kids over the years. Sisters, Jamie and Madison joined the family in January of ’98, with sister Ashley in June of 1999. December of 2001 would mark the birth of Kendyl, keeping Chad way outnumbered with females. Anthony and Aaron arrived in March of 2004. Finally the Jividen name would be passed on. The Jividen family was completed in December of 2010 with Christian. Who Chad was and what he was about was a gift to all who knew him. Chad loved hunting and had a passion for sports. This passion was played out as he coached football, merging his knowledge and love for the game together. He was a hard worker, but never for praise or clout. The underdog or those in need are who he had a heart for, having no limits in how he gave. Chad’s integrity that was seen in public was matched in private as well. While this earthly home will never be the same without him here, his impact will never die until we are reunited in heaven again.
