View Tribute Book Chad Darren Jenkins, 56, of Arkansas City, passed away Sunday, October 16,2022, at his residence. Cremation has been effected. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, November 12th, 2022, at the Northwest Community Center in Arkansas City. Chad was born on September 17, 1966 in Arkansas City to parents Donald Sr. and Barbara (Doze) Jenkins. He was raised in Arkansas City where he wrestled and played football at a young age and attended Arkansas City schools. He was united in marriage to Gustava Chadwell on September 27, 2002. They later divorced but remained friends until her death in 2018. Chad worked in the oilfield for Jenkins Oil & Gas. He helped coach at Ark City Takedown Club when his nephews wrestled. He also was an avid sportsman whose passion was fishing, hunting, waterskiing, and spending time at the lake or being in the mountain’s elk hunting in Colorado with his Dad, Grandpa, and brother. Chad loved his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. They were his pride and joy, and he was so proud of them. He became known as Uncle Chad to all the kids’ friends. He was baptized and was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Arkansas City. Survivors include his sister, Tammy Bain and husband, David, brother, Donnie Jenkins Jr. and wife Rita all of Arkansas City; nieces and nephews, Chasity Bain, Josh Bain and wife Beverly, Clayton Graham, Courtney Graham and husband Kenny, Tara Jenkins, and Lucas Bain; great-nieces and nephews, Vandal Kent, Draklyn Kent, Malachi Murphy, Jaden Bain, Dylan Bain, Liam Bain, Oaklee Graham, Presli Tharp, Taleigh Bain, and Jase Graham; uncle and aunt Ronnie Jenkins and wife Anita Judd-Jenkins, aunt, Vicki Doze; great uncle and aunt JD and Margie Jackson; special friend, Marla McFarland; and numerous cousins. Chad was preceded in death by his parents, his ex-wife Gustava, sister Cynthia Jenkins-Phillips, nieces Nikki Tharp and Mindy Jenkins, and uncle Kent Doze. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chad Jenkins Memorial Fund. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
