Obituary of Carol M Cronk Carol M Cronk, 79, a longtime Staatsburg resident, passed away on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 at her home. Born on July 4th, 1942, in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Mae (Malkemus) Wagner. Carol married Jacob “Jake” Cronk on August 10th, 1962 in Salem, MA. Jake predeceased her on July 26, 2001. For 30 years, Carol worked and managed the Rhinebeck Department Store located at the center of Rhinebeck. She was a faithful member of Third Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rhinebeck, NY. Carol is survived by her loving sons, Todd D. Cronk of Poughkeepsie, NY, Mark A. Cronk of Frederick, MD, Bryan (Deanna) A. Cronk of Hyde Park, NY, and David (Michelle) C. Cronk, PhD. of Knoxville, TN; a sister, Barbara Kaiser of Pleasant Valley, NY; her grandchildren, Chrystal, Courtney, Joseph, Christopher, Daniel, and Gavin; her great grandchildren, Logan & Samantha; along with extended family and friends. Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes in Rhinebeck on Thursday, February 10th, 2022 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 11th, 2022 at Third Evangelical Lutheran Church, Livingston St., Rhinebeck, NY. Pastor James Miller will officiate. Inurnment will be private at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Carol’s memory to a charity of your choice.
