View Tribute Book Carol Joyce (née Caziarc) Champagne of Boonton Township, NJ passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, from a long illness. Born in January 1948 to Louis B. Caziarc, Jr. and his wife, Aileen (née Quealy), Carol lived in Boonton and Boonton Township her entire life. Carol worked as the Chief Financial Officer and Tax Collector for Boonton Township before her retirement. She was a Girl Scout leader in Boonton Township, a past President of the Boonton Rotary Club and was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow in 2002. She could be found taking long walks around the township when she wasn’t quilting and spending time with her family. Carol was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Boonton. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17th at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Charles H. Champagne of Boonton; her cherished children, Tom Champagne and his wife, Ruthann of Rockaway; and Cindy Sorrentino and her husband, Ralph of Rockaway Twp; her adored grandchildren, Sean, Benjamin, Kaitlyn, Christopher, Tori and Charlie; her brother, Louis B Caziarc of Butler; and many friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Carol’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association .
