Obituary Carole Sue Lassley, 81, Purdy, formerly of Ozark, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at her home. She was born on October 12, 1940 in Tory, Missouri, the daughter of the late Clyde H. and Mary R. (Maples) Nelson. She was united in marriage August 24, 1958 to Harry Edward Lassley, Sr. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Gail Presley, and a sister, Ruth Ann Williams. Carole served as a minister’s wife to her husband Ed. She was a dedicated Christian and very influential in the ministry until her passing. She was a talented artist, and a member of Prospect Baptist Church in Ozark and was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Purdy. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ed Lassley, Sr., a son, Ed Lassley, Jr. and his wife Karen; a daughter, Laura Daniels and her husband Steve; a brother, Jerry Nelson and his wife Karen; three sisters, Rama Marchant and her husband Gene, Brenda Sloan and her husband Harold, and Vickie Nelson; eight grandchildren, Cole Presley and his wife Nicki, Clay Presley and his wife Lynn, Christopher Lassley and his wife DeAnn, Bryan Lassley, Allison Lassley, Andrew Daniels and his wife Bailey, Michael Daniels and his wife Tori, and Kiersten Daniels; ten great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville. Burial will follow at Miller-Lassley Cemetery, south of Rogersville. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, August 12, 2022 at the funeral home.
