Obituary Please share a memory of Carol to include in a keepsake book for family and friends. View Tribute Book Carol Lee Brazelton, age 79, of Oxford, died Sunday, November 20, 2022. She was born April 25, 1943 in Monroe, to Donald and Jeanette (Whitaker) Dudley. Carol graduated in 1961 from Oxford High School. She spent her career working in assembly, at the Sea Ray Boat Plant in Oxford. After the plant closed, Carol worked for over 10 years at the Werner’s Hallmark Store in Lake Orion. Everyone at the store loved working with Carol! Carol married Dan Brazelton in 2018, after being together over 25 years. She enjoyed crocheting dresses for dolls, accumulating a large collection of dolls with beautiful dresses. Carol gave many family members and friends dolls wearing her wonderful handmade outfits. Carol is survived by her husband: Dan Brazelton of Oxford; children: Jimmy (Randi) Devault of Mancelona, MI, Susie Devault of Roscommon, Donald Devault of Prudenville, Jennifer (Chris) Greene of Fostoria, Megan Brazelton of Lapeer, Jaime Brazelton of Lapeer and Josh (Jacqui) Brazelton of Lapeer; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings: Louie (Anita) Dudley of Oxford, Eddie Dudley of St. Helen, MI, Donna Williams of Lapeer, Larry (Yvonne) Dudley of Oxford, Richard (Ruth Anne) Dudley of Oxford and Stanley (Lorri) Dudley of Ortonville and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughters: Danette Devault and Sharie Devault; parents: Donald and Jeanette Dudley; and brothers: Tim Dudley and Alvin Dudley. Visitation will be 10-11AM Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Carol’s funeral service will be 11AM Wednesday at the funeral home, immediately following visitation. Yvonne Dudley, her sister-in-law, will officiate the service. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Memorial contributions are encouraged to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
