Walpole formerly of West Roxbury passed away on December 12,2022 at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late Gordon F. Byrnes. Devoted mother of Dawn M. Byrnes of E. Walpole, Stephen P. Byrnes of Mansfield, Michael B. Byrnes of Charlton and the late Deborah Ann Walsh. Cherished grandmother of Kayla Horan and her husband Andrew of Brockton and Stephen Gookin of CT. Beloved great grandmother of William Horan and Kinsley Gookin. Sister of Joan Casey of Centerville, Robert J. Culbert Jr. of FL and the late Claire P. Lyons. Daughter of the late Robert J. and Margaret M. (Murray) Culbert. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Carol grew up in West Roxbury and graduated from the Cathedral High School class of 1960. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Church, E. Walpole, MA. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 4-8pm. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Walpole, MA. Donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
