Carlos Orlando Watson, Sr. departed this life on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the age of 39. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. Carlos was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School, where he was a member of the marching band. He was employed for many years as an offshore cook with Sodexo Company. Carlos also completed several civilian contract tours in many countries overseas as a cook for the Performance Energy Company. He spent his final days as a barber doing what he loved, cutting hair. Carlos will be remembered as a man of many talents. Loving father of Imani Watson and Carlos Watson, Jr. Stepfather of Torrey Holley, Jr. Beloved son of Alan “Panama” and Islay Watson. Grandson of the late George and Muriel Watson, Mauricio and Olga Long. Nephew of Cecilia Watson-Williams and Orlando Watson. Cousin of the late David Blackmon. Carlos is also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, and employees of Johnson-Gretna Park Elementary School are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Brian Walker, Sr., officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
