Marlow: Billy Howard Edwards, 95, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in Marlow. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Marlow Cemetery, with Billy’s family officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 27, 12:00-8:30 PM, with a family visitation from 5:00-7:00 PM. Billy was born Friday, November 25, 1927 in Jefferson County at EB Ranch, to Howard and Leona (Cummings) Edwards. He lived in Stephens County all of his life. Billy married the love of his life, Imogene Foreman in Duncan in September 1954. They celebrated more than 68 wonderful years of marriage together at the time of his passing. Billy was a proud member of the United States Army and was honored to serve. After he left the ARMY, he worked at various locations throughout Duncan as a mechanic. In 1968 he began working for civil services in the transportation department. He was a member of the VFW. Billy enjoyed tinkering with different things and working with his cattle. He took great pride in his family and he loved spending time with them when possible. Billy will be deeply missed. Survivors include his loving wife, Imogene Edwards of the home, 2 sons, Bill Edwards and wife Issie of Edmond, and Ernie Edwards and wife Donna of Oklahoma City, 5 grandchildren, Laurie, Marianne, Christina, Micha, and Maura, 3 great-grandchildren, Braylan, Beckett, and Benton, sister, Janice Gardner of Eagan, MN, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Billy was preceded in death by his parents and 4 sisters, Ann Hokit, Betty Bowles, June Brandon, and Jean Lyle. Pallbearers will be: Brandon Birchfield, John Smith, Bill Edwards, Ernie Edwards, Barry Bainum and Sang Nguyen. Honorary Pallbearers will be: James E. Quick, Jim Bailey, and Robert Bender.
