View Tribute Book Billie Alford Grant, 86, passed away December 29, 2022, at Chatham Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Wake County, NC on April 20, 1936, to the late Lucy Johnson Alford and the late Joe Henry Alford. She was predeceased by her husband Garland C. Grant. Billie was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She loved gardening, working in the yard and loved flowers. She worked as a secretary for Dr. William L. Sager, M.D.-Pediatrician and retired from Ennis Business Forms where she worked as an order entry clerk. She is survived by her son, Joseph Elliott Grant (Angie) of Rolesville, NC; daughter, Julie Anne Dean (Jeffrey) of Newman, GA; grandchildren, Anna Dean, Katie Dean, Winston Grant, and Lilly Grant. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Jo Scarce and Jim Sidney Hill. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 2, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Mt Hermon Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Burial Park. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., also at Norris Funeral Services, Mt Hermon Chapel. Read more
