Barbara J. Overbeck (nee Durkin) passed away peacefully September 8, 2022 with her family by her side at the age of 61 after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved wife of Joseph Overbeck. Loving mother of Danielle Finn (Tim), and Timothy Breslin; stepmother of Kim Deveney (Pat), Kristine Dempsey (Brian), Kerry Fleisch (Aaron), and Kelsey Elms (John). Dear grandmom of Liam, Daniel, Timmy A., Brendan, Timmy R., Brooke, Shane, Sage, Benny, Nate, Grace, and Caroline. Sister of Patrick (Lisa), Mary Ann, William “Duke”, and Daniel (Santina). She is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday Sept. 16, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 and Saturday at St. Matthew Church (upper), 3000 Cottman Ave. Phila., PA from 9:15-10:15 AM followed by her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Interment Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. Donations can be sent in her memory to Vickie and Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience, 901 Walnut Street, 4th Floor Phila., PA 19107. Barbara requested everyone to wear bright and cheerful colors.
