Barbara Gordon, 77, Bismarck, died on November 18, 2022. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 615 E Turnpike Ave, Bismarck, with Rev. Jonathan Walla and Rev. Justin Woodside officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Barbara Jean Gordon was born on Jan. 22, 1945, in Evanston, IL, to Henry and Ann Kalk. She was raised and educated in Glencoe, IL. Barbara married and had two sons, Brian and Robert. She moved to Bismarck in 1977 and married Jack Gordon. They lived all of their lives together in Bismarck. Barbara devoted her life to raising her children. She was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church and was often heard saying how wonderful it was to be a part of that church family. Barbara is survived by her husband, Jack; son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. (Melissa) Gordon, Bismarck; stepchildren, John W. (Kate) Gordon IV, Rapid City, SD, and Jean (Tony) Root, Caputa, SD; granddaughter, Julie Gordon; four step-grandchildren; six great-step-grandchildren; and her sister, Audrey Taylor, Round Lake Beach, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ann Kalk; son, Brian Gordon; and her sister, Elaine Simmons. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bethel Lutheran Church.
