Arlene Ethel Harlow, age 84, of Mankato, died Friday, December 16, 2022 at Hillcrest Rehabilitation Center. Memorial service will be held at 11am, Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary (2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato, MN 56003) with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Mankato. Arlene was born December 5, 1938 in Comfrey, Minnesota to Leslie and Ida (Seigmann) Peterson. After high school, she studied business at Mankato Community College. She was united in marriage to Charles Beetch on October 11, 1958 at Salem Lutheran Church in Comfrey, and they were blessed with four children. In addition to being a homemaker, Arlene worked at Madsen’s and Carlson Craft. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and visiting with friends. Arlene later married George Harlow on October 19, 2001 at the Little Brown Church. They lived in Arkansas for over 10 years before returning to Mankato and moving into Primrose Assisted Living. She is survived by her children, Steve (Judy) Beetch of Mankato, Connie Cowell of Osage, IA, and Brad (Amy) Beetch of Farmington, AR; grandchildren, Jerimiah Cowell of Mankato, Elizabeth (Donzale) Adams of Osage, IA, Megan (Andrew Paul) Beetch of St. Louis Park, Jessee Beetch of Oklahoma City, OK, Aaron (Courtney) Beetch of Farmington, AR, and Kylee Beetch of Conway, AR; great-grandchildren, Jessica Cowell, Alexis Cowell, Raena Adams, Aubreigh Adams, and Everly Beetch. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Ida Peterson; first husband, Charlie Beetch in 2000; second husband, George Harlow in 2011; infant daughter, Cheryl Lyn Beetch; daughter, Cindy Beetch in 2016; and brothers, Harold and Raymond Peterson.
