January 11 1961 December 3 2022
Obituary Mr. Anthony John Jones, Sr., of Houston, MO., passed away peacefully, surrounded by love ones, on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the home of his niece, Heather (Terrance) Smith, whom cared lovingly for him during his time of need, along with his other niece, Salisa “Snuggles” Cotton. He was born on January 11, 1961, in Troy, Mo., to the late Jess and Marina (nee: Morton) Jones. Anthony ‘Tony, Bones’ had reach the age of 61 years. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Marina “Mamie” Jones; one son, Neakeyvus “Keavy” Johnson; three brothers, Dale Jones, Howard “Scoppy”Jones, Herman “Hound” Jones and his wife Bertie Katherine Jones; one sister Rodvalla “Pudden” Jones: one sister in law, Wilma Jones. Anthony is survived by his children – Kocheria (Demetrius) Harris, Anthony Jones Jr., Nicholas “Nick” Jones, a loving step-father to; Chris (Susan) Holden and Scott (Jody) Folsom and several grandchildren. Siblings and family members who will remain grateful for having shared in Anthony’s life are his brothers: Melvin Jones of Wright City, Calvin (Cindy) Jones of Wentzville, MO, Rocky (Carol) Jones of Warrenton, MO, his sisters: Vivian (G. Sherrill) Higgins of Saint Louis, MO; Regina Gibson of Wentzville, MO., Robin Jones of Oakland, CA; Donna (Harry) Bryan of South County St. Louis, MO, and the matriarchs of the family: Aunt Barbara Parker of Arizona, and cousin “Aunte” Agnes Hill of Wentzville, MO, and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Anthony enjoyed tinkering on any kind of motors (vehicles, lawnmowers, chain saws, etc…) He was very mechanically inclined and also dabbled with electronics, with little or no success (ie. left over parts). He loved listening to music of various kinds, more so gospel during his painful moments. Spiritual songs of comfort gave him peace of mind and feeling God’s gift of peace. He had come to terms with his God and dealt with his physical and medical situation. His doctors were amazed at his inner strength while he was experiencing discomfort and painful moments just by moving about. Tony would say, “I’ll be alright” when questioned about his health or how he was feeling. He loved spending time with his significant other, Kimberly Folsom, his two sons and grandchildren, Tina “ Lil Woman” & Justin “Judy” & Blaison from Oklahoma. Anthony was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. One very special, close friend of Anthony’s for over 30 years, Mr. Todd Davidson of Houston, MO, whom Tony spoke of highly and enjoyed spend time with him, fishing, working on the farmland and construction or just hanging out. Todd had been in Tony’s life through thick and thin, good or bad times, dealing with life’s struggles. They loved each other as brothers and had an unbroken bond that seemed to have been sealed by the grace and blessings of God. His wings was ready but our hearts was not. There will be a “HOMEGOING” for Anthony J. Jones Sr. on Saturday, Dec 10, 2022 at Antywan Mayfield’s property on J Road. All are welcome to come and celebrate with Anthony’s family .
