View Tribute Book Ann Larsen, age 94, passed away at her home November 10, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born Oct 2, 1928, in Tenafly, NJ, to Charles and Mary Berry. She married Hank Larsen in 1949 after he served in World War 2. They raised their two daughters in Nanuet, NY. She had a lifelong commitment to her work, including food service, school department positions, and caring for her home and family. After she retired, she and Hank moved to Poughkeepsie in 2000 to be near family. There, she continued her love of crafting, day trips, gardening, and ice cream runs with Hank. She is now side by side with her husband of 73 years, who predeceased her earlier this year. Hopefully, she is as feisty and independent as she was here with all of us. We will miss her spirit and gift of gab. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Griffin and her husband, Jerry, of Poughkeepsie, and Linda Larsen and her husband, Jimmy, of Wareham, MA. Her grandson, Casey Larsen, of Wareham, spent many childhood summers in her care. She also loved her great-grandchildren, Emitt and Marianna. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Carol, and nephews, James Mehlin of Virginia, and Glenn Larsen of Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Tuesday, Nov 15th, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 95 Mill St, in Poughkeepsie. Burial will follow in the Mausoleum at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. If you would like to make a memorial donation in Ann’s name, please consider Mt.
