O’CONNOR ANN “NANCY” (NEE MAHONEY) On November 10, 2022, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Charles M., Jr., loving mother of Patty McCarthy (Jack), Michael (Judy), Kevin, Christopher, and the late Timothy (Theresa); dear Mom Mom of twelve grandchildren: Brian McCusker (Alyse), Tim McCusker (Jenn), Bridget Danes (Zane), Kate Vandevender (George), Bernadette Posavec (Jamie), Tim O’Connor, Jr., Shane O’Connor, Dan O’Connor, Joe O’Connor, Patrick O’Connor, Meghan O’Connor, and Alannah O’Connor; and Old Mom Mom of nine great-grandchildren: Michael Farrell, Gia McCusker, Bella Farrell, Cassidy McCusker, Cru McCusker, Hailey McCusker, Cecilia Vandevender, Parker Vandevender, and Ethan McCusker. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marie Mahoney. Nancy is survived by sisters Helen Kane and Betty Kahrimanian. She was predeceased by siblings: Sister Thomas Marie Mahoney OSF, John Mahoney, Doris Cloran, Thomas Mahoney, William Mahoney and Patricia Ciccone. She is also survived by a large, extended loving family. Nancy was an example to everyone of how to overcome hard times and a major disability. She lost her eyesight in 1959 at the age of 27. She had three small children at that time and eventually had two more. She was a wonderful wife and an amazing mother who raised her children to believe in faith and family above all. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and also Thursday from 9:15 A.M. to 10:15 A.M. from BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa. 19114 followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, Pa. 19154 at 11:00 A.M. Internment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family prefers donation to St. Anselm Church in her memory.
