Reed of Clifton Park, NY died at the age of 51 on Monday, September 5th, 2022. She was born on January 16th, 1971, grew up in Swartz Creek, MI, and moved with her family to AZ as a teenager in 1986. She was married at the age of 26 and went on to have one beautiful daughter. Andrea lived a full life, enjoying traveling, spending time with family and friends, knitting, discussing politics, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. Her greatest passion of all was motherhood, taking great pride in her daughter, Hannah, who is now a sophomore in college. Andrea spent over 34 years in banking and finance. She started as a teller in 1987 and moved quickly up the career ladder at multiple banks before becoming the AVP of Consumer Originations at First New York Federal Credit Union. She had a passion for teaching others and enjoyed leading teams that served their clients and community. She was a loving mother, generous sister, and caring friend. Her warmth and kindness touched many lives, and she will be greatly missed. As the Lord says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Mat. 11:25). Andrea is survived by her daughter Hannah Reed and her former spouse Richard Reed. She leaves behind her three siblings: Dustin Wood (Lesley), Jeannie Wood, and Leslie Rocha (Anthony). Preceding her in death were her parents Gary and Lynette Wood. Andrea has been cremated and her funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (8615 W. Peoria Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345) on Monday, December 19th at 10:00am. This will be followed by the interment of her ashes at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Avondale, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory be made to St. Vincent de Paul or to Maggie’s Place.
