Alan E. Ashley, 73, of Lizton passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in Indianapolis on October 23, 1949, the son of the late Robert L. and Irene L. (Blessing. Ashley. Alan was a 1967 graduate of Pittsboro High School and furthered his education at Purdue graduating in 1975. He married Carey Stinson on August 19,1977 in Indianapolis. Alan made his life career in building construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and outdoor sports. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Carey Ashley; a son, Nicholas “Nick” A. (Lindsey) Ashley; grandson, Charles R. Martin Ashley; brothers, Michael (Pauline) Ashley, and John (Janet) Ashley. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Kati N. Ashley. In keeping with his request there will be no service or visitation. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his care.
