Rena Dawn Ackerman, 62, of Catasauqua, passed away on June 3, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. Born in Easton, PA., she was the daughter of the late Paul and Beverly (Slack) Kachline. Rena was the loving wife of Richard with whom she celebrated 43 years of marriage on May 27, 2021. She was a doting wife, mother and grandmother and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Rena was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday… school teacher for many years. She was a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader of Troop 94. In addition, she was Vice President of Catasauqua Youth Athletic Association. Rena coached cheerleading for Midget Wrestling and took pride in seeing the kids excel. She loved the great outdoors and camping. Surviving along with her husband Richard; son, Jason R. Ackerman and Lauren; daughter, Heather L. Ackerman and her partner, William Ringleben; brother, Craig Kachline and JoAnn; grandchildren, Grayson and Benjamin Ackerman as well as several nieces and nephews. A calling period will be held at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, PA. 18032 on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 10-11:00 A.M. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
