Obituary Linda Sue Bowen Towery, 71, of Richmond, passed away unexpected at her home on Friday, December 3, 2021. She was born in Madison County, Ky., on Saturday, September 16, 1950 the daughter of the late John & Ellen Abney Bowen. She was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate of 48 years, Charles Towery. Linda was a lady who loved her family and was good at spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and canning and making homemade candy which she gave away at Christmas time. She was a member of the Liberty Ave. Baptist church in Berea and dearly loved her church. Survivors include her son, Chuck Towery, of Berea; her daughter, Michelle Kates (Wayne), of Berea; two grandchildren, Payton Towery and Parker Towery; three brothers, Johnnie Bowen (Nancy), Ronnie Bowen (Betty) and Ray Dean Bowen (Della); three sisters, Bonnie Wade (Johnny), Connie Reid and Nancy Lewis (Eric); her loving cat, Toby and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Ken Felty officiating. Burial will follow in Madison Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Parker Towery, Tommy Bowen, Bobby Bowen, Jackie Hurley, Ronnie Wayne Bowen, Jason Wade and Kevin Wade. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Dean Bowen, Johnnie Bowen, Ronnie Bowen, Eric Lewis and Johnny Wade.
