Bonnie S. (Roeder) Soto Our beloved mother Bonnie S. Soto, unexpectedly passed on December 22, 2021. She was born Boneta Sue Roeder on November 6 1947, to Richard & Sue (Hazen) Roeder in Roundup Mt., where she lived for the first few years of her life. Then moving to Billings, with her family, where she graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1965. She welcomed her first daughter Melissa Roeder in 1969. A few years later Bonnie met John Soto, whom she later married and they traveled a little with John working in the Oil Fields. After a few years, they moved back to Billings where they welcomed their daughter Wanda Soto in 1975. Shortly after they moved briefly to Chester Mt. for John’s work and finally settled back in Billings again after a few years, where she lived the remainder of her life. Bonnie was a homemaker and enjoyed helping to do childcare for a few other families, including her own grandchildren. In life Bonnie enjoyed listening to music, going to concerts, festivals, fairs, parades, going fishing with her sister Wanda & brother in-law Clarence. She was especially passionate about attending and supporting her sister in doing the Relay For Life event in Billings for many years through 2019’s event. Bonnie really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends while socializing and being the character so many fondly remember her for. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Sue Roeder, her brother Don Roeder, her sister Wanda (Roeder) Kostenko, her brother in-law Clarence Kostenko, her Ex- husband John Soto, her grandparents and all of her aunts & uncles. Survivors include her two daughters Melissa Roeder and partner Jeff Krizanic of Spokane WA, and Wanda Oster and ex son In-law Brad Oster of Billings; six grandchildren, Brayden Wagner and Jessie Ludlam of Spokane, Kendra Oster and fiancee Nick Zickuhr, Brady Oster, Tamera Oster, Shakira Oster and great granddaughter Emily Zickuhr all of Billings; Nephews Brad Kostenko of Billings, Brian and wife Chelsie Kostenko and their two children Corbin and Roslyn Kostenko of Port Orchard WA, Shawn Roeder of Missouri and Niece Cindy Roeder of Missouri. Bonnie’s funeral services will be at 12 pm on Friday January 7th at Smith Downtown Chapel with Interment at Rockvale Cemetery. Condolences may be left at smithfuneralchapel.com.
