Marilyn’s Obituary Marilyn Robertson, 86, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, passed away on December 10, 2020, at Dow Rummel Village in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2020, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls. Visitation with family present to greet friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association (CLICK HERE for link) or Grace Lutheran Church. The family requests that all guests wear a face mask and practice distancing. CLICK HERE at 6:55 p.m. Monday to view the service on our Facebook Page Marilyn Alice Madetzke, daughter of Lewis and Judith (Lee) Madetzke was born December 17, 1933, in Jasper, Minnesota. She graduated from Jasper High School. Marilyn was united in marriage to James Robertson on September 26, 1958, at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. While raising the children she also helped raise the countless young boys that James coached in baseball. They also loved to go dancing at the Arkota. On road trips she was the expert navigator and kept them on track. Other simple loves of hers were keeping her home in tip top shape and just spending time with her family. They have been longtime members of Grace Lutheran Church. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jim of Sioux Falls; children, Tammie (Pat) Hawkins of Sun Lake, AZ, Todd (Jodie) Robertson of Hawarden, IA and Kristy (Rod Kurtz) Robertson of Aberdeen, SD; grandchildren, Nick Laddusaw of Sioux Falls, Ryan (Melissa) Hawkins of Minneapolis, MN, Nathan Robertson of Sioux Falls, Derik (Jyssica) Laddusaw of Humboldt, SD, Christopher Hawkins of Sioux Falls, and Alexa (Jesse) Strong of Hawarden, IA; 10 great grandchildren; and siblings, Lorna Muchow of Sioux Falls, Janet Natwick of Sioux Falls, Lee (Diane) Madetzke of Minneapolis, MN, and Roger (Pat) Madetzke of Pipestone, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Judith; brothers, Bill Madetzke and Robert Madetzke; and brothers-in-law, Dick Muchow, Paul Natwick, and Tom (Marlys) Robertson. Read More
