Marliss “Marcy”‘s Obituary Marliss “Marcy” Petersen of Hinckley, MN passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. She was 85 years old. Marcy was born on November 9, 1935 in Ellsworth, WI to Gilbert and Esther (Pulk) Blodgett. She attended George Washington High School in St. Paul, MN and in 1953 she was united in marriage to Kenny Petersen in Iowa City, IA. They have lived in Hinckley since 1969. Marcy was a homemaker and a mother. She loved to fish, garden, swim and she loved to dance with Kenny. Marcy is preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Esther Blodgett; her sisters, Gay, Melba, Mariyn and Bev; her brother, Sonny; her granddaughters Anjalina and Brittney. She is survived by her husband, Kenny; her children, LeRoy (Debbie) Petersen of Fairbanks, AK, Kevin (Renee) Petersen of Hinckley, Robert (Lori) Petersen of Hinckley, Teresa (Jeff) Williams of Hinckley, Michael (Kathy) Petersen of Hinckley and Tim (Sue) Petersen of North Branch; 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She will be dearly missed and remembered in our hearts forever. Private services are being held. Arrangements by Tatting-Methven Funeral and Cremation Services.
