Linda’s Obituary Linda L. Miller , age 73 of Sandstone, MN formerly of St. Paul and Pine City, MN passed away at home on November 8, 2020. Preceded in death by Francis L. Miller (father), Luella M. Miller (mother), Patrick Callahan (brother), Katherine Bluhm (sister), Joann Siedow (sister), Francis J. Miller Sr. (brother), Gene Miller (brother), Daniel Miller (brother), Debra Neville (sister). Survived by Duane Callahan (brother), Judy Buckmaster (sister), Diane Miller (sister), Thomas Miller (brother), along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and other friends and family members. Linda was born into a large family and grew up on the east side of St. Paul, a 1966 Johnson HS Graduate. She worked many years at Midwest Special Services. Linda resided in St. Paul until the passing of her mother Luella in 1992, then resided with Dick (grandpa) and Mickey (Lady) Flaherty until they relocated to the Cross Lake home in Pine City for the next 14 years. Linda then transitioned to a group home and independent living at the Sandstone Senior Apartments in Sandstone, MN where she made many friends and was involved in many groups including the garden club, league bowling, and the Special Olympics. Linda also attended church at the Evangelical Free Church of Sandstone. Linda had an infectious smile and playful personality , she was truly a kid at heart. Despite all of Linda’s personal challenges throughout her life she was continuously resilient and up for any challenge or adventure thrown her way. Family and community were very important to Linda , she loved meeting the newborn additions to any family and she had a deep love for animals as well. Linda was a huge ELVIS fan, her love of Elvis could not be matched by anyone, she was an avid collector her whole life and finally got to visit Graceland in 2016. Linda looked forward to holiday get-togethers and family gatherings. She loved fishing on Cross Lake, trips to Lake of the Woods, and Disney World , she also loved the social time spent in the community room at her apartment putting together puzzles, playing cards and other games on top of visiting with her friends and other residents. Linda grew especially close to all of her staff that worked with her daily and her family will be forever grateful for all their care and time, and particularly for making Linda a part of their lives. An in person memorial service will be held at the Evangelical Free Church of Sandstone on Friday, November 20, 2020, at 6pm, which is located at 522 N. Main St., Sandstone, MN 55072, phone (320)245-2459.
