Jeff’s Obituary WALTERBORO: Mr. Jeff Bruce went on to be with our Lord on November 25, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born in 1958 in Dekalb County Hospital, Fort Payne, Alabama. Jeff graduated from Fort Payne High School in 1976. He graduated from the University of South Carolina Summa Cum Laude and Creighton School of Medicine. He was a Doctor of Pharmacy and a professor in the Science Department of Johnson and Wales University. Jeff was happiest when piloting a plane, in a boat on the water, or attending a baseball or softball game with his family and fiends. He was loyal to his Gamecocks, The Auburn Tigers, Carolina Panthers, and his beloved Braves. He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Bruce of North Carolina, his Mother, Joan Payton Bruce of Walterboro, a sister, Shannon Bruce Griffin of Walterboro, and a very special niece, Brittany (Alex) Karban of Woodridge, Illinois. He is also survived by his fiancĂ©e, partner, and soulmate of many years, Elizabeth Ware of Kannapolis, North Carolina. He leaves behind her two children, Alexander and Olivia who were like his own children. He loved them dearly. He is preceded in death by his Father, Larry Wayne Bruce. Due to Covid 19, arrangements are incomplete at this time. A celebration of life will be scheduled in the future. Read More
