Mart’s Obituary Mart Jordan, age 92, of Texarkana, Texas died Monday, September 14, 2020 at home. He was born on March 29, 1928 in Maud, Texas, son of Audy Ray and Lillie Jordan. He retired from ABF Freight Systems after 39 years of service and received many awards for safe driving. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. He was a member of the Walnut Church of Christ and was a strong worker in the Lord’s Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Ray Jordan and Andrew Jordan, two sisters, Mary Agnes McClurg and Ramona Maybelle Harrison; three sisters-in-law, Betty Jordan, Mary Ann Jordan, and Martha Jordan; two brothers-in-law, Lee Roy Harrison and James Herman McClurg. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Elizabeth Green Jordan; three sons, Michael M. Jordan and wife Jewel Jordan, Monte E. Jordan, Myron T. Jordan and wife Darlene Jordan; three grandchildren, Christopher M. Jordan, Debra Jordan DuBard, and William C. Jordan; two great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Triston DuBard; three brothers, Rubin Jordan and wife Delores Jordan, Kenneth Wayne Jordan and wife Mary Jordan and Dolan Jordan; one sister, Judy Chandler and husband Doyle Chandler; and a number of nephews, nieces, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Texarkana Funeral Home with Tommy Gaither officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm, Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at the funeral home. A special thank you to the entire Encompass Health-Hospice staff.
