Duff Patrick O’Connor, Jr, age 33, of Logan Township, NJ, died suddenly on August 27, 2020. He was born on November 5, 1986 in Newark, DE and was the son of Duff and Lisa O’Connor of Woolwich Township, NJ. He is survived by his sister, Kaitlin O’Connor and her boyfriend, Sean McNally of Philadelphia, PA, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. His grandfathers and grandmothers, Frank and Anne Colubriale of Carney’s Point, NJ, and Maurice and Thelma O’Connor, predeceased him. Patrick graduated from Salesianum High School, Wilmington, DE, in 2005. He attended Cabrini College in Radnor, PA, and graduated in 2008. He was employed by FTG Equipment in New Castle, DE. A business major in college, from a young age Patrick had an entrepreneurial spirit. From lawn care to car detailing to Craigslist sales, let’s just say Patrick had a real knack for the art of the deal. This new found talent led him to jet skis and Jeeps; buying, selling, riding and wrenching. His latest endeavor was the renovation of his home in Logan Township. His negotiation skills were legendary, as were the friendships he found along the way. Soccer and tennis were his sports of choice and he played tennis through his college career. He had big blue eyes and a huge smile that lit up the room. He was quiet by nature, but he made such a big impact by saying so little. He had a razor sharp wit and a talent for telling a hell of a story with a sense of humor that was both charming and sarcastic. He was particularly close with his maternal grandparents and took wonderful care of them as they aged. He was a son, a grandson, a brother, a nephew, a cousin, a godfather, a friend, but above all he was always in your corner. Things will never be the same, but the world is better for the years Patrick lived. He was so loved and will be so missed. A private service will be held at St Joseph Cemetery in Swedesboro, NJ on Saturday, September 5, 2020. The family will hold a celebration of Patrick’s life for all friends and family to attend in the coming weeks. More information will be shared at www.weremember.com/patrick-o-connor/0i6l/memories. Death notice for the town of: Woodstown, state: New Jersey
Dear Lisa and Duff,
My heart breaks for you! The pain is horrific, the holes in your hearts are larger than the grand canyon. My prayers are with you that one day the sun will come out for you again. It won’t be the same but it will have Patrick shining through it.
My prayers are with you all!!
Love,
Jeannie Love
To Duff and Lisa,
i met Patrick only twice and the impression he left on me was that of an unfair advantage in the handsome department lol, his intelligence, craftyness, he also introduced me to the Ducati motorcycle which i now own today because of him. I know Patrick’s father and he’s just the best guy you’ll ever meet…i don’t know how to find the words to say but all i know is i hurt a lot for Duff Sr. seeing such a happy man be scarred in the worst possible way a parent can be. Patrick’s parents raised an amazing young man as their son and i am proud to have met him those 2 times.
May you Rest in Peace but also joy by side the side of Jesus Christ
