Mildred’s Obituary Mildred Blount Bagwell, 91, of Bruce passed away peacefully at her home on August 6, 2020. She was born on January 23, 1929 in Bruce to the late Joseph Leon Blount and Delon Ethel Ivy Blount. She married the late Edwin Owen Bagwell on April 25, 1947. Mildred is survived by two daughters: Cathy Thompson of Starkville; Tamsie Morris of Bruce; four grandchildren: Julie Thompson Stovall, Joseph (Erin) Thompson, Sarah (Chance) Adair, Emily Morris; seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Edwin Bagwell; son in law, Tony Thompson; brother, Edsel Blount; twin sister, Madge Blount; one great grandchild. Mildred worked hard all her life as a farmer’s wife, seamstress , and rural mail carrier. She had a love for the outdoors, gardening, and her humming birds. Mildred was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. The private graveside service remembering Mildred’s life will take place on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 3:00PM in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery with Bro. David Westmoreland officiating. Chance Adair, Jeff Cook, Jon Ferguson, Lawerence King, Tanner Pace, Larry Snellings will serve as pallbearers.
