Lee “Buster”‘s Obituary Odis Lee “Buster” McGreger, 53, of Vardaman passed from this life on July 31, 2020, after a car accident in Bruce. Born on August 3, 1966, in Brazil, Indiana, Buster was a son to the late Charles Lee McGreger and Laura West Adams. Buster was a 1984 graduate of Vardaman High School. He faithfully served in the Mississippi National Guard for six years, always ready to answer the call when disaster struck. Buster, a jack of all trades, was a man that knew how to work. He was currently employed with G and B Farms as a heavy equipment operator. Aside from his equipment operation job, Buster was a skilled tradesman in the construction industry. Buster’s skill set further included laying brick, a trade that he practiced alongside his family. When Buster was not punching the clock, he could be found in a tree stand patiently awaiting a deer or floating on the lake in hopes of catching a fish. Buster did not simply pass away, he held in his soul the cure to death, a relationship with Jesus where he worshipped Him at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Buster leaves behind an expansive family to carry his precious memory in their hearts for the remainder of their days; two sons: Jake (Toni) McGreger of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Lenny McGreger of Pittsboro, Mississippi; one daughter, Laura Ellen McGreger of Vardaman; one grandson, Ezran McGreger; step mother, Mary Ann McGreger; three sisters: Susan (Joseph) Chrisler of Long Beach, Mississippi; Paula (Greg) Lovorn of Slate Springs, Mississippi; and Leigh Ann (Kevin) Stafford of Vardaman, Mississippi; grandmother, Geraldine McGreger, and host of loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Lee McGreger; mother, Laura West Adams; stepfather, Thurman Adams; paternal grandfather, Odis McGreger; maternal grandparents; Elmer and Ruthell Norwood. The graveside service remembering Buster’s life will take place on Sunday, August 2, 2020, at 3:00 PM in the Poplar Springs Cemetery with Bro. Kenneth Armstrong officiating. Brandon Lovorn, Austin McGreger, Bo McGreger, Chris McGreger, Sammy McGerger, and Devin Stafford will carry Buster to his place of rest.
