Warren Linderman was born in Herreid, S.D. On June 18, 1926 to Lizzie (Klingman) Linderman and Albert Linderman. Warren grew up on the family farm in rural South Dakota. He lived there and worked with his father until 1954. He married Lucy Goldade in 1952 and they made their home in Timber Lake, S.D. Where they raised five children. In 1954 Warren began working as a meat cutter and produce manager in several grocery stores until 1967 when he leased and managed a cafe and bar for several years. In 1978 Warren moved to Gillette, Wyoming where he was employed in sales and service by several tire companies until 1985 when he was forced to retire by serious health problems. On October 3, 1987, Warren married his soul mate, Marjorie Devoe Walters. They began traveling, camping, and volunteering in state parks in Washington, Oregon, and California. In 1992 they settled down in Westport, where they became very active volunteers in several senior citizen groups, the Westport Lions Club, and the Historical Society. Warren spent many hours volunteering at the Maritime Museum and the Lighthouse. Warren and Marjorie joined the Twin Harbors Lutheran Church in Grayland where Warren served on the council for several years. Warren was endeared to all who knew him by his honest, kind, gentle, and loving nature and always seeing the good in everyone. He loved family, friends and pets unconditionally. Warren passed away on June 6, 2020 at the age of 93 years, only 12 days before his 94th birthday. Warren is survived by his wife Marjorie, his children Robert Linderman (Doris) Gillette, WY, Donna Schlosser (Stan) of Timber Lake, SD, John Linderman (Patty) Timber Lake, SD, Barbie Serr (Kelly) of Bison, SD, Dana Walters (step son) (Minda) Westport, WA 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Roy Linderman, his daughter Kathy Cudmore and a son-in-law Glen Cudmore. A memorial service will be held later when the church is open so family and friends can gather there to remember Warren. Memorials in his memory may be made to Twin Harbors Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 490, 2424 State Route 105, Grayland, or to PAWS of Grays Harbor at 800 W 1st Street, Aberdeen, WA. Warrens family thanks Dr. Shelly Dueber and Willapa Harbor Care Center for the good care Warren received there. Many thanks go to Valerie King who was always available to drive Warren to his many doctors appointments locally and in Olympia and Seattle. Warren will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and his faithful little dog Coco. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
