BENNINGTON Gretchen L. Beagle, 59, a resident of Gore Road, Bennington, died peacefully following a brief illness on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born in Bennington on June 8, 1961 she was the daughter of the late Kenneth H. Squires and the former Jacqueline Blanchard who survives. Gretchen received her education in the Bennington schools and was a graduate of Mt. Anthony Union High School. Gretchen married Harold L. Beagle in Bennington. A very family oriented person, caring for her home and family was Gretchen’s favorite past-time. She also enjoyed camping, fishing and bowling. Survivors include her husband, Harold L. Beagle; two children, Jason Peacock of Bennington and Nadine Beagle and her fiancé, Chris Jauch of Shaftsbury; her mother, Jacqueline Blanchard of Bennington and three sisters, Susan Houran (Bill Beagle) of Bennington; Betsy Grover of Daytona, FL and Cinda Squires of New York and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
