Destiny’s Obituary Destiny Joy Peshina, 34, of Goshen died Monday, June 15, 2020 at her home, surrounded by family, after a 2009 cancer diagnosis. She was born February 12, 1986 in Goshen to James and Ruth (Miller) Peshina. They survive along with grandparents, John and Eileen Landis, Manheim of Pennsylvania, and Edna Miller of Goshen; sister, Elya (Braden) Brubaker of Lebanon, Pennsylvania; a brother, Ryan Peshina of Goshen; and niece and nephews, Lexi and Nicholas Brubaker and Kashton Peshina. Destiny was a 2004 graduate of Bethany Christian High School, where she excelled in athletics. Following her cancer diagnosis, Destiny enrolled and completed nursing school, working as an R.N. for as long as her health allowed. She would not let cancer define her. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, July 4, 2020 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bethany Christian Schools soccer field. All who knew her know how she loved soccer. Casual dress is requested. With Covid-19 restrictions, please keep distance and wear a mask if you feel comfortable. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the B.C.S. middle school gym, 2904 South Main Street, Goshen . Family friend, Rhonda Yoder will officiate. Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
