Wayne’s Obituary Wayne Kaye Kollmeyer, age 77, of Ypsilanti, MI, passed away late Thursday, May 21, 2020 at his home. He was born August 3, 1942 in New Castle, Indiana, one of ten children of George & Nettie (Riley) Kollmeyer. Wayne was a social guy who never met a stranger. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, Moose and American Legion. He was the Administrator for the New Castle Elks, and the Ypsilanti Moose and American Legion, during his retirement years. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. Mr. Kollmeyer is survived by his devoted wife Diana Kollmeyer, three children: Kris (Jenni) Kollmeyer, Stacey (Kit) Crane and Kurt (Dana) Kollmeyer; step-daughter Kimberly Yapp, 6 grandchildren: Katie, Cara, Emily, Abbey, Kendra and Garrett. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and seven siblings. According to his wishes, dignified cremation rites have been accorded. Arrangements by David C. Brown Funeral Home, Belleville, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Joseph Mercy Hospice and would be appreciated.
