Obituary Virginia Dare Johnson, 88, formerly of Graham died Thursday, May 28, 2020 at her residence in Banner Elk. She was a native of Watauga County, Retired from Ferrell Manufacturing and a member of Ireland Street Chapel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira & Alice Beard Townsend; husband, Henry Johnson; brother, Byrle Townsend and sister, Clara Green. She is survived by her son, Henry Lynn Johnson; Sisters, Willa Mae Parker of Gibsonville & Phyllis Sandy of Burlington; brothers, Ricky Townsend of Ramseur, Charles Townsend of Newland & Landon Townsend of Spruce Pine A service to Celebrate her life will be held 11:00 AM Monday at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Pastor Larry Batts. Burial will Follow in Moores Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 before the service.
