Venella Hamilton was born on June 25, 1947 in Humboldt, Tennessee to Fred Hollis Reed and Sylvia Jane Reed. Venella let herself be found by Jehovah, and dedicated her life to him and symbolized it by water baptism, June 16, 1994. She soon served as a full- time minister or regular pioneer, helping others to learn about Jehovah and his Kingdom, getting up early in the morning and staying out late with her friend Edith Truitt and others, which she did faithfully until her death. Venella was known for cooking greens for the friends. Playing bid whist was one of her favorite things to do. She loved to win but that didn’t always happen. Line dancing was another thing she loved to do, and she did it well! Venella was preceded in death by her siblings, Herman Reed (Alexander ,LA); Sam Perry (Tiptonville,TN); John Elwood (Cleveland, OH); Willie L. Reed (St.Louis, MO); Fred Reed (Blytheville, AK); James Reed (Niles, MI); Robert Bruce Reed (Memphis, TN); Ollie B. Reed (Humboldt, TN); Mary Ethel Davis (Robin IN); Elizabeth Clark (Fort Wayne, IN); Rose Crumb & Fannie Robinson (Cleveland, Ohio); and Ruby Manns (St. Louis, MO); She leaves to mourn her passing, her siblings, Earl Reed (Humboldt, TN) Sudie Woods & Ollie Reed (Cleveland, OH); Judy Bouldin (Jackson, MS); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and over eight million members of her spiritual family of Jehovah’s people.
