  1. Dear Babka Family,
I’m very sorry for your loss.
I never knew your father or grandfather, but often heard of the many distant cousins scattered in Ohio
I discovered this while looking for some information about a great uncle Joe and great grandfather Joseph F Babka.
I believe we are distant cousins, perhaps sharing the same
Great-Great Grandparents, or a great great uncle or great cousin of yours.
I only have info on Frank J. Babka born 1845 in Bohemia and died 1-18-1928 in Cleveland, and Mary Kavelka Babka born 1843 in Bohemia and died 2-16-1928 in Cleveland as our Great Great Grandparents.
They had sons, Frank Jr, Joseph F (our great grandfather) , Stephen and John Joseph. They also had daughters Josephine and Antonia.
Both Frank Jr and Stephen had sons that they named Stephen.
My late Father was George, grandson of Joseph. He said he used to see the youngest uncle John as a child, but we had thought Stephen or another uncle, Frank might have gone to CA in the 1920’s or 1930’s.
I’m wondering if Robert might have been a cousin to my Dad. My Dad grew up in Macedonia, Ohio, born in 1927.
Some of us were just trying to figure out some of the history of Great Great Great grandfather Frank. My great great grandfather Joseph was born in Bohemia in 1876: , but had 3 younger siblings born after they came to the USA, of Antonia, Stephen and John Joseph (who became a lawyer and representative of Ohio ).
You may contact me if you have more information on the Babka side via email .
Robert had a great life of service to the country. I’m sorry for your loss.
