Robert’s Obituary Mr. Robert Eugene Martin, age 88 of Martin’s Bluff, Blairsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 26, 2020 in the Sonshine Manor Personal Care Home. Robert (Bob) was born on February 5, 1932 in Nashville, TN, son of Arthur Eugene Martin and Willena Frances Couts. Bob was an avid football fan and his favorite teams were the Miami Hurricanes and the Miami Dolphins. He was a member of Coosa United Methodist Church. Bob is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, the late Irene Morris Martin; a son, Jeffrey Paul Martin; and two sisters, Frances Guise and Mary Blecha. Surviving Bob are three sons, Jack Love of Memphis, TN, Fred Love of Atlanta, GA, Robert Martin Jr. of Seattle, WA; two daughters, Rosanne Love of Atlanta, GA, and Michele (husband Richard) Kenney of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Jonathan, Daniel, Michael and Larissa, and nine great-grandchildren. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Semper Fi Fund in Bob’s memory. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
