Ronald Mack Lewallen

(March 28, 1953-April 29, 2020)

Ronald “Ron” Lewallen, 67, peacefully departed on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 in Springfield Cox Medical Center.

Born Ronald Mack Lewallen on March 28, 1953, the son of Clarence Mack Lewallen and Mary Margaret (Kritlow) Lewallen of Reeds Spring, MO; the brother to seven other siblings.

Ron was a lifelong resident of Reeds Spring, loved and known by many.  He graduated from Reeds Spring in 1972 and married his high school sweetheart, Laura Allison (Hembree) Lewallen, later that year in June.  Ron worked in the oilfields for a number of years as well as learning the trade of masonry.  He even created his own business, “Lewallen Masonry” and went on to achieve and complete great work such as the Dwyer Estates, Lakeview Learning Center, the building for what were once “Squeeze & Tease” Salon and “Vernon Insurances” and various others. He accomplished many things, too many to list.

Ron found great pleasure in the outdoors and had many activities in which he participated in; fishing, hunting, farming and many others. Later on, he built a mulch business and expanded his at-home farm that would prosper and become one of his many joys for him and his wife, along with the rest of his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary Kritlow and Clarence Lewallen and his brother Melvin.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Allison (Hembree) Lewallen; his son, Jarret Lewallen; his daughter, Rejeana (Lewallen) Cross; his siblings (brothers and sisters) Raymond, Rickie, Connie, Brenda, Randall and Laurel; as well as 6 grandchildren (Collin, Mackenzy, Alexis, Isabella, Garret and Jarryn).

Ron did many things in his life, touching many hearts and teaching many lessons.  But, his greatest pride was rooted from his family.  His happiness was present the most when with them, no matter where it was. Ron was the definition of a family man and cared more deeply for his loved ones than words can explain. He was the most caring, loyal and loving person that one could ask for.

Ronald was very passionate about his family and his animals. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society.

An Outdoor Memorial Service will be held at the family farm on May 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. The address is 2585 US Hwy 160 Reeds Spring, MO; officiated by Sean Gasper.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
